Flagler County Family Assistance Center Inc., DBA The Sheltering Tree is a nonprofit, 501(c) 3 community assistance organization run solely by caring and dedicated non-paid volunteers. Click here to read more about our vision
The Sheltering Tree offers two community outreach programs:
On most Tuesdays, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM, The Sheltering Tree offers a variety of services and resources to assist and guide those needing all levels of care. The Tuesday Community Outreach is located inside Bridges A United Methodist Fellowship at 205 North Pine Street, Bunnell, FL 32110 (behind Bank of America). Assistance is offered on a “First Come-First Served” basis requiring an evaluative process and availability of what is requested.
When the National Weather Service forecast indicates temperatures at or below 40°F within the city of Bunnell, The Sheltering Tree opens Flagler County’s only cold weather shelter at the Rock Transformation Center located at 2200 N. State Street (US1). Accomodations are offered in coordination with county wide support and teams of community-based volunteers. The Shelter is open to anyone in need of a warm, kind and safe environment. Dinner, breakfast, cots and caring volunteers are available to all who join us.
